1. Passive Scans shared or not? Can someone confirm this? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
They're shared for 2-3 seconds then disappear. You don't get the constant-on data as if you're running passive scans yourself.

They don't bypass shields as stated above, but they do the same amount of damage to shields as they do to armor. So unlike most weapons, they affect shields and armor equally. Nova Knife Damage Explained

4. If you want to go for Caldari Scout (and if you already specced in) - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Good fit. I like to run an enhanced dampener so I can avoid 21dB Gal Logi scans, but granted I've only seen scanners a handful of times since 1.8.

You only have two logis in corp who actually repair/revive, you mean ;) Everyone else is in a logi suit spamming uplinks and nanohives then going off to kill, amirite?

8. What do you recomnend spending the bonus event sp on? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
That would really depend on what you already have unlocked. If I had only 3mil SP and started a character from scratch, here is how I would spend it: Dropsuit Command 1 - 6220 SP Racial Basic/Special Dropsuit both to 3 (whatever class you want t...

11. Scan Precision 1.8 - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
One other thing - vehicle scanners may become more common as a replacement to 360* squad scans. So it may be in your interest to equip a dampener to avoid those. I'm not sure what their precision is though.

If you haven't spent SP on dampening yet, then wait till after 1.8. I really can't imagine scanners being as widely used after the patch as they are now. But with Cal Scout scan precision and Gal Logi precision buffs, mediums may find themselves i...

14. 1.8 Scanning Reference List - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Just now figured out how to read this list. Great info. I will add that dampening/precision numbers seem to round to the nearest whole number, so if they round to the same number, precision wins and you are scanned or successfully scan your target.

Don't bother for medium frames. If you plan on going into scout, then do it. Otherwise it's not worth it, even with the new scan precision/radius numbers for the Logi. Basically if you were to make a good passive scan suit out of the logi, you'd...
